DEESIDE DISTRICT
We are a large rural district covering the area known nationally as "Royal Deeside" in the North East Region of Scotland.
The District covers an area from the Aberdeen City boundary, westward to the Aberdeenshire and Perthshire boundary at the Glenshee Ski Centre, basically following the course of the River Dee, and including the small towns and villages on either side of the river.
The area has some of the best outdoor activities countryside in the United Kingdom, with easy access to skiing and the Cairngorms.
As Districts go we are numerically quite small with just seven groups spread out along the fifty odd miles of the River Dee.
This section of the site will tell you all about the Groups in the District and if you want to join as a youth member or as an adult, then please use the contact pages, either to District from this page or to individual Groups under the "Our Scout Groups" tab.
We can also give advice to Groups wishing to visit the District, be it activities, camp sites or indoor accommodation for all sections, again please contact us through the contact facility on the option bar.
